(NASHVILLE, Tenn.) June 21, 2008 – Sparrow Records singer/songwriter Matthew West will appear on the popular morning television program “FOX & Friends” tomorrow, June 22. The interview rounds out a busy month for West, who has been seen and heard via various media outlets and guest appearances throughout June.

West will discuss with “FOX & Friends” his role as host of “Gospel Dream 2008” on the Gospel Music Channel (GMC). The “American Idol”-inspired talent search series began Sunday, June 1 and airs five consecutive Sunday nights at 9 p.m. (ET). West will perform his current hit single, “Something To Say,” on the June 29 finale.

In addition to the network interview and involvement with “Gospel Dream 2008,” West was also featured this month on GMC’s Father’s Day segment of the “Kitchen Sink” June 14. This followed another live performance at the sixth annual “Make ’M Smile” event, a community festival that celebrates children with disabilities, sponsored by Nathaniel’s Hope. The event was held at Lake Eola in downtown Orlando, Fla. and was hosted by WPOZ (Z88.3) morning show hosts Ellis and Tyler.

Additionally, West’s song “Something to Say” is currently impacting Christian AC/CHR radio. Alongside the single, West joins nationally syndicated radio program The Weekend 22 for the “Something to Say” promotion. The promotion invites radio listeners to call The Weekend 22 with “something to say,” either an encouraging word, testimony or a funny story. Those whose calls are selected to air on the show receive a copy of West’s latest album Something to Say. Listeners can call The Weekend 22’s Listener Comment Hotline at 1-800-761-HITS to participate. The promotion runs through June.

Also at radio, West will be the featured artist for LifeChange Moments the week of June 30. LifeChange Moments, sponsored by Tyndale House and The New Living Translation Bible, is a daily radio feature airing on 1300 stations across the country. The program’s goal is to create Bible inspired moments that intrigue the listening audience to the point of action – that is to go deeper into His Word such that they truly experience, understand and remember God’s promises.

Produced by Brown Bannister, Ed Cash and Christopher Stevens, West’s third studio recording, Something To Say, released January 15, 2008. His first record in more than two years, the album is West’s most personal project to date, exploring themes of both brokenness and restoration. Something to Say debuted on Nielsen SoundScan’s Christian Retail Chart at #10, while West was the best-selling Christian artist on iTunes the week of its release. The album’s debut single and title track additionally peaked at No. 1 on Christian AC radio. For more information on Matthew West, visit. www.MatthewWest.com or www.myspace.com/matthewwest.
